Swarovski crystal was the turning point for me getting bedazzled into the world of beading. I taught myself the skills to arrange and connect beads that were pleasant and exciting to look at. "Thinking outside of the box" soon became a requirement, especially working in the field of wire. Watching wire take it's shape with a few manipulations is when the "seed is planted" and the vague inspiration becomes a reality. My unplanned medical retirement was a number of years before my husband's. Upon retirement, he soon discovered that busy hands/busy minds is good therapy. So he began Doc's Whirlybirds. He works at farmer's markets during the summer and has decided to sell the birds of Blingthingsetc.
