Haley Berry's Profile

About

I was raised in a jewelry family, my father is a bench jeweler that taught me how to make my first chain at the age of 6. Later I received a BFA in metals and jewelry from the University of Georgia in 2005. Then I spent a few years working as a bench jeweler before moving to Peachtree City, where I then learned the finer points of working in sales at a wonderful local jewelry store.
Last year I realized how much I missed actually creating my own pieces of jewelry so I sat down at my bench and started to create a few pieces to take to a few local art festivals. I still work full time in the custom and repair department and have almost completed my degree as a Graduate Gemologist. However my heart is still at the bench, nothing is as satisfying as turning a few pieces of wire and loose stones into new piece of art.
