Creative arts and photography are rolled into one great life experience. Come down and enjoy the things that inspire me. Travel east by southeast then right at the cresent of history. Sit awhile and piddle along the Big Muddy river. Watch the world go by while you are entertained by street music, bubbling pralines cooking, and take a peek at the Jackson Square to see if that horse ever rests beneath Old Stonewall. Can you see what I see. Lovely things natural, never touched are yet enjoyed. I love every minute this city has brought great things into my life. Nature is a wonderful thing. Come visit in gumbo country the place where our southern history began. Let's share our love of nature and people.Did you know New Orleans was founded after 1723? My 6th great-grandfather came from France/Germany with wife and 2 baby girls. He landed at the Cresent City, then ;) borrowed a pirouge to paddled 25 miles up river to St Charles Parish. He built a hut, dug out a small farm and fought off Indians while scratching out a place of his own. The first US census says he worked hard and in 1724 he harvested 1/2 pint of seed corn. A great feat. Now that was something great to memtion in 1724. How important is a little seed corn to you today? Grandfather was a happy man!! He was now a New Orleanian. Let's count the seed corn we plant this year! Will we share with a friend in need? In 2011? Slip someone a bill to help pay their food bill? Carry out someone's rubish when they are gone? Surprises are free! cost you nothing but a good heart. They recieve the gift of a caring friend and neighbor. Mark your calendar this year. How may deeds will you have at years' end? Go for it!!
