About
A little design history...
I have been sewing since I was six. My first projects were pillowcases, purses, and little treasure bags for rocks and gems. In 2002 I started a company called BriMade while I lived in LA, selling accessories and clothes in Los Feliz, Silverlake, and Echo Park boutiques, and participating in trunk shows. I began again recently with new concepts and I really have fun creating this line!
On my shop name...
My favorite jazz musician is Charles Mingus, he has a great album called East Coasting. West Coasting reminds me of this and is a term for a certain way of winding cables and cords so they stay useful... but honestly, the name just popped into my head, from all the California driving.
