Alexandra Reisner's Profile

About

My parents had a Hungarian friend who studied genetics. His wife would watch my sister and me when my parents were at work, and she taught us to make delicate beaded necklaces that looked like tiny flower chains.

Inspired, I studied jewelry making in both New York and Florence, Italy. I have recently relocated to my beloved New Orleans to pursue my MFA and live the dream.

I still play with beads, but people really seem to love those hand-stamped brass and silver binary rings. In other words, I am a giant nerd.

My parents' fine antique and estate jewelry is available at www.antiquesandjewels.com and their vintage costume and silver pieces are on view at TheSalvages.etsy.com
