Born in Indiana, grew up in California, and found home in Oregon a little over 7 years ago.
I've been into arts & crafts since my earliest memories. The first art form that I really delved into was macramé. I started learning with beautifully colored embroidery floss for friendship bracelets and then moved into the beaded heady hemp chokers and anklets that were in high demand in High School. My first official craft fair was in 2000 at the Lompoc Arts & Craft Festival, in California. After that weekend I was hooked and knew that I wanted to spend a lot more time devoted to making my art my sole income. By this time I was also wire-wrapping gemstone and crystal jewelry, crocheting beanies and hairscarves, sewing pouches, and displaying some photography.
From 2002-2003 my dream came true while I vended my work on the beach in Santa Barbara, CA at the Sunday Beach Artwalk. It was wonderful. I could have stayed, and I still think about where I would be if I did, but the tall trees and rainy forests were calling me North. So I packed up and kissed the beaches goodbye and took a seat at a desk job to get settled Portland, Oregon. I devoted most of my cubicle life in Oregon to a wonderful company most of you will all know called AAA, but there was always something missing and crafting on the side wasn't enough. I wanted to devote more time to it but needed that steady income to survive... or so I thought. I was in a car accident in 2008 that changed everything. I lost my secure desk-job because of missing too much work during recovery and found myself faced with a tough decision. I created and sold what I could while getting better and looking for another job but after being turned down at so many places, I made that choice to take a dive. With the combination of Etsy and local street fairs I have been officially self-employed again since the beginning of 2010 and can't wait to see what 2012 brings! I still get excited every time I see that someone has purchased something from my store. I'll take this moment to say "Thank You!" to anyone who has supported me with a purchase. Words can't really express how thankful I am to all of you, Etsy, and other artists that make my dream possible.
THANK YOU!

SECTIONS ~ Sometimes a seller will have a lot of various creations in their shop. So, if you are on the seller's shop home page, you can click on the different Sections listed at the right to narrow down what you’re looking for. In my shop I have a lot to look at, so if you want to look at just my earflap hats, you can choose to look at just that section. QUALITY ~ Know you're getting a quality product by reading through the seller's Feedback from other buyers. But, remember not to judge a new seller on their lack of Feedback. You could make their day by purchasing something and being the first to give them great Feedback. Heck, you could make their week!
