I have been crocheting since I was a teenager but only started designing my own stuff in the past couple of years. I had to give up work for health reasons early in 2012 so I am now concentrating on creative work full-time.

I am particularly concerned to reuse materials that are recycled or waste, so I collect odds and ends of yarn, beads and buttons from sales, reuse calendars wrapping paper and cards, and get inventive with packaging.

I love to make things that reflect who I am and the things I love. I live near the north west coast of England in an area with a mixed English and Irish heritage, so a lot of my designs reflect themes from nature and the sea and also Christian and Celtic spirituality.
