Susan Sharpe's Profile
I found ceramics late in life, when I went to Manchester Metropolitan University where I gained a BA (Hons) in Three Dimensional Design, studying ceramics.
I found I loved porcelain, and now work predominantly in porcelain. I love the texture and the whiteness of the clay and how it reacts to the glazes. I have concentrated on glazes that work with the porcelain that show off the beauty of both. I also love pattern and use ceramic decals to make my coloured patterned items.
Recently I have started to use a lovely toasty stoneware clay and I'm discovering what wonderful changes there are in my glazes when used with this different clay.
The item you choose to purchase will have been made with great care, packed with great care, and your custom is appreciated.
I also have a blog…
