A longtime Baltimorean, painter & performer, I like to come up new ideas to keep myself going- designing clothes & hats, painting murals, teaching art classes, making pins, tutu's, sleepy weepys, performance art, painting- this is just one in a long line of fun things. Staying successfully self employed since 1990 has been quite the ride!
I bought my own home recently & went out to get doormats. The selection was horrible! Expensive, ugly and disappointing. My wife said I should make them myself, so I did! I've always enjoyed making stencils, but never considered them as a business. We all have heard it, do what you love and it will work- it's true!
Every doormat is hand painted, individually by me- there is no machine or manufacturer I send out to. I try to make & ship the mats as fast as possible- whew!
