About

The Fun Stuff:

I love Etsy! I am just in total awe of this place and all the talent within it's web walls. I am thrilled to be in such amazing company!
Every single day I sell a piece of art...is another day I am able to do what I love, and there is nothing better than that. So thank you! Truly. Thank You. From the very bottom of my heart.

MY PHILOSOPHY:

Studio Mela believes that every art print should be special and affordable! Open Edition prints run for a few years and then are retired. My artwork is designed to inspire, motivate and keep positivity flowing throughout your beautiful home. I believe in bright colors and never shy away from experimenting with it!

Each print here is meaningful and truly special...and we love that!...

•Open Editions are signed by me, on the front, but not numbered.

•8x10 images and/or prints are on paper that is a bit bigger to allow for proper framing and matting.

A little Bio:

I'm a girl with a huge heart.
I am sporadic & indecisive by nature and am often changing direction at a moments notice.
I live in a very cold place called Minnesota.
(but, I swear I belong in California!)
Mela, as in "Studio Mela", means apple in Italian.
I laugh...ALOT.
I'm happiest when painting.
I don't eat meat.
I smile way more than I cry.
I have a Mom that is an amazing artist.
I ache to be liked by everyone I meet.
I love the feeling of holding a brand new sketch pad and the wonderment of whats to come.
I hate large crowds.
I love my husband and little baby boy more than I thought I could love anyone.
I'm silly and loud but can be quiet and shy a moment later.
I paint things that inspire me.
If you asked me if your hair looked funny...I would tell you the truth. Because I would want you to tell me if I had a piece of hair sticking straight in the air...or a pepper flake stuck to my tooth.
The one art tool I could not, repeat, NOT, live without is the Pilot G-2 05 Pen. It's literally like a 2.00 pen and I adore every ounce of it!
I am a firm believer in affordable art and believe that every single person should have one piece in their house that makes them smile.
I'm a new artist to canvas, but have been doing graphic design forever.
I'm self taught and proud of it.
I used to make websites. And now, there is not enough time in the day!
I love quotes and smack them on anything I can.
My work oozes with words and text...fonts and scribbles. I just love words.
I'm inspired by songs.
I can kick anyone's butt in poker.
I get very excited about handbags. It is the one thing I would spend zillions of dollars on and not care. Needless to say...my husband adores this quality the most.
But... most importantly, I live to love.

Love and Smiles, Shelli @ Studio Mela

Please note that, unless otherwise noted in the listing, I use Ultra Premium Professional Luster paper. They are printed with pigment ink and are on archival white paper, they are guaranteed to last at least 150 years under glass. These are the very same prints I sell to galleries and frame shops.

And of course, a reminder that colors may vary slightly on your screen than in person! Monitors do funny things sometimes. But you can be sure I take every step to make sure what your seeing is as close as possible to the print or Original piece.

Thanks a Mill!
