Debbie Ferrazzoli's Profile

About

I have been designing and making jewelry since graduating from Rhode Island School of Design in 1972. My jewelry consists mostly of sterling silver, sometimes gold-filled, and lately some copper and brass. I hand form the metal aided by mandrels, pliers and hammers and incorporate vintage, murano or pressed glass, abalone, pearl or semi-precious beads into the jewelry. The materials I use inspire endless possibilities. As I work on one piece, it sparks another. Whether the piece is spontaneous or sketched and planned out, the process and result is always gratifying.
