About

Hello friends! Thanks for visiting our shop.
My name is Maiko (Mah-EE-ko). I am a she, even though I may talk like a man sometimes and internet obscures my identity. But I don't mind when somebody calls me a "dude". I am also a mom of a sweetest daughter who has won my heart and quickly turned into my best friend FOREVER. I also have a husband, who happens to be my best friend of 20 years (he calls me dude sometimes). Even though I have been living in the US longer than I've lived in Japan, I am 100% certified organic made in japan product. Not only that, I am originally made in Osaka and fluent in Osaka dialect. (But don't call me KOBE beef.) I have a sense of humor like "kansai-jin" which doesn't translate well in English. I'm an avid non-fiction book reader. Particularly interested in psychology and things that has to do with brain functions. I love thinking about human potentials and learning about how realities are constructed based on ones' belief system and by changing ones' belief system one can change the reality that one lives in. I make a great experiment.

I love and appreciate beautifully designed packaging and awesome vintage items. I love and respect nature immensely. My favorite book of all times is (gasp, it's a fiction..) Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. If I have more time I would love to learn to code so I can program anything I want to. I also dream of a day somebody invent an affordable maid robot.
