FASHION
I love sense of beauty and satisfaction a woman gets from a really great garment. I always feel I am living so much better when I'm wearing something fantastic!

I learned to sew as a little girl with my Nonna from Italy. She taught me to always strive for perfection and pay special attention to detail.

Having studied tailoring in Rome, I became accustomed to the Italian's love and expectation of the highest quality products. I use this standard in my own work and it always pushes me to be better.

I aspire to make garments that are dreamlike, ultra-feminine and have subtle but powerful sex appeal. I want my peices to be cherished "forever-favorites" in your wardrobe.

INSPIRATIONS: Roberto Cavalli, Alice Temperly, Yves St. Laurent, Valentino, Patrick Kelly. And I LOVE the luxurious style of French Rococo!

PAINTINGS
Along with fashion, painting is my great love. I have been an oil painter for over 20 years and almost always do portraits, choosing subjects who fit into an idea I am pondering. I get the most pleasure when painting clothing, hair and jewelry.

FAVORITE ARTISTS: Antonello da Messina, Bottecelli, Elizabeth Peyton, Egon Sheile, David, Vermeer and Caravaggio.


Helen del Guidice was born in Chicago Il. and Graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a BFA Majoring in Painting. She studied Fashion Design at the School of the Apparel Center, Chicago and has exhibited her paintings in Chicago, New Orleans, Memphis, San Diego, New York, Paris and Rome.
