What can I tell you about me?

Um... I'm a retired midwife who now writes and makes jewellery for a living; it's good but I miss supporting 'my' women..

I live a contented life in North Devon, between two moors - Exmoor and Dartmoor - and very close to the sea. My children, three of them, a daughter and two sons, are grown and beautiful. I miss their childhood, just as my mum said I would - why didn't I believe her?

I'm a thinker and a reader and am moved to tears by beautiful things and meaningful words. And my husband still finds me puzzling after all these years.

And it's those bits about me that I try to capture in the things I make. The words help, of course, but more than those, I try to 'will' a bit of my love and passion for life into every item that leaves my hands...
