A little about me...
I come from both an art and science background. My days are mostly spent researching, collecting, sorting, and identifying benthic marine invertebrates from Puget Sound and Arctic sediments to study and monitor the biological health of these fragile ecosystems. In particular, I specialize in polychaete taxonomy--polychaetes are marine worms that are incredibly diverse! At night, my sketchbook and brushes come alive as I whittle away in the darkness on paintings inspired by the mysteries of the natural realm...
