A little about me and the ponies in my shop:

I have been a My Little Pony fan ever since I can remember. They were by far my most-requested toy and went on every birthday and Christmas wish list for years. I stopped collecting by about age 10 or 11 in favour of more "age appropriate" gifts. Of course I had NO IDEA how popular they would one day become. If I had, I would have taken better care of my own ponies and maybe kept a few mint in their packaging. But let's face it, when you're a kid you don't think of your current toys as becoming "vintage" someday, let alone future collector's items!

Despite going through a long non-collecting phase, I never quite outgrew My Little Ponies. Then one day my husband found a few G1s at a charity shop which rekindled my desire to replace or upgrade some from my childhood collection. I have been…

Despite going through a long non-collecting phase, I never quite outgrew My Little Ponies. Then one day my husband found a few G1s at a charity shop which rekindled my desire to replace or upgrade some from my childhood collection. I have been collecting again ever since. :-)

The ponies I feature in my listings have all been acquired from various places, so I can't guarantee that they are from smoke-free, pet-free environments. We are a smoke-free home with one very well-behaved cat.

Before I take pictures of my ponies, they all receive a gentle cleaning with lukewarm water, baking soda, and a soft-bristled toothbrush. I wash their manes and tails with baby shampoo and follow up with baby conditioner, then I let them air-dry with their tails down to prevent tail rust. Lastly, I style their hair and set them up for their photo shoots. If there are any faults with a pony, I do my best to take and display photos that will show them so you know exactly what you'll be getting. As a collector myself, I can't stand unpleasant surprises when I open my pony parcels. I also put a lot of work into restoring them if I can, though I do not attempt sun-fading or hair replacements (especially the latter as this changes the originality of a pony).

I think that's about it! If you are thinking about purchasing and have any questions, please don't hesitate to be in touch.
