Wendy Wallin Malinow's Profile
eyefun by Wendy Wallin Malinow
Born and still live in Portland, Oregon. Raised in a family of artists. Trained in the fine arts. Worked as an illustrator for years and became interested in jewelry and small sculpture for added dimension to my designs. Started working in metal and polymer clay in the late 80's. Designing jewelry with metal, polymer clay, and other mixed media became a way to continue sculpting in a smaller format and explore my lifelong fascination with beads. Won three Saul Bell Design competitions, and other numerous awards. Have contributed to many art and craft books, taught classes, and shown in various galleries and museums.
Combining different media of varied value, lots of color, and different emotional connections into a piece that resonates to the viewer is my goal. Using old and new, expensive and cheap, silly or dark, hopefully...
