Hello and bonjour as well!

My name is Hélène, I am French and I live in the Netherlands since I came there to study architecture…and that is like 10 years back! I live nearby Gouda, which is known for its cheese (at least for Dutch and French people!).

I’ve recently discovered wool and the wet felting technique. My interest lies on making hats, and how to transform rough wool into a 3D shape!

At this moment, each hat I make is created without sewing or gluing (except for eventual decoration): it is made in one piece. I also try to paid attention to the interior of the hat as well. Hat as an well-handmade object on every side.

Everything is made by me and is one of a kind, although I do take custom orders and will remake an item upon request. If you see something you like but would like it a specific size, color, with different details or if you would like me to make it for you, send me a email with your idea and we will together create the perfect hat for you.
