About

Faith and family define me. Jesus Christ is at the center of my life; my husband, children and grandchildren are my pride and joy. God called our family to ministry in this small mountain town in January of 2004. Here simplicity is necessity. Surrounded by nature daily, I am constantly reminded that God is in control. I believe that a simple and natural way of life is God honoring.
Within that faith and family, I am a pastor's wife, a homeschooling mom, a pianist and vocalist, church secretary, and a children's ministries leader. Two of my children are grown; one is now a husband and father of three, and in the process of adopting a sibling group from Uganda; the other we call the "dog-whisperer." I began knitting a few years ago as a way to be productive in spite of chronic pain and fatigue caused by fibromyalgia. I quickly became addicted to it. I'm constantly learning new stitches, techniques, and discovering new yarns. I thoroughly enjoy seeing my creations evolve from concept to reality. I try never to do exactly the same thing twice, unless I am requested to do so, and am always pushing myself to learn more. I hope you enjoy my creations as much as I have enjoyed creating them!
We are are a smoke and cat free home. All yarns are stored in sealed plastic bins. Most of my knitting is done in a room that the dogs do not enter. Hence, our 2 dogs (or the birds, for that matter) do not have access to my yarn or to any finished products.
