Upon earning a bachelor's degree in music, Glennis went on to work for Paramount Pictures and Columbia TriStar TV in Los Angeles, later changing course to concentrate solely on photography. She studied with National Geographic photographer Mark Thiessen and her work has 6 times been highlighted in National Geographic online galleries, including features on China and Frogs. She was also invited to contribute to Nat Geo's stock collection. Women in Photography International (WIPI) awarded Glennis 2nd place and four honorable mentions in three juried competitions. She was nominated for a Florida Magazine Association’s 2010 Charlie Award, and her work was selected for the prestigious 2009 Art of Photography international exhibition, for which just 111 images were chosen from 16,000 entries. Glennis’s images were featured in 2011's Snap! Int'l Exhibition in Orlando, five juried 2009-10 exhibitions at The Center for Fine Art Photography in Colorado, and The Minneapolis Photography Center selected her work for two juried exhibitions in late 2009 and 2010. Glennis’s first foray into Set Photography was with the production of The Butterfly Circus. The film went on to win Doorpost Film Project’s 2009 Grand Prize. The Museum of Florida Art featured five of her images in 2009’s Chrome and Leather show, and three images will be in ASMP’s soon-to-be-published “Light of Florida” book. She’s also been published in Central Florida Lifestyle Magazine, Int'l Trumpet Guild Magazine, Albuquerque Magazine, Peterson’s Photographic Magazine, on Shutterbug’s website, and in various newspapers. She is a member of WIPI and ASMP. Currently based in Nashville, Tennessee, Glennis travels worldwide for a variety of photo assignments.
