Over the last few years I've learned a lot of things. I've come to believe that less is truly more and that what we do in life must be purposeful and well intended. Maybe that's why I love the resurgence of the handcraft movement. It's all about getting back to the basics of what's important. Construction is more important than quantity, individuals mean more than factories, and environmentalism, hands down, means more than consumerism. But the part that I love best is the resurgence of a meaningful community that supports the trades that had been almost forgotten in this fast-moving, digital age.
