Julie Deault is a textile artist living in Montréal, where she designs and creates her line hazel & hunter. Although she discovered her love of textiles at an early age, Julie also ventured off to study jewelry-making in the mountains of Mexico and upholstery design with local artisans before launching hazel & hunter.

Sustainability, the use of organic materials and the handmade process are what inspire each collection here at hazel & hunter. We use only high-quality natural and organic fibers, and all our fabrics are sourced locally. Each design is carefully printed or dyed by hand, a slow process that contributes to all kinds of beautiful irregularities and makes each piece one-of-a-kind.

All items are made by Julie in her small studio in montréal, which is a hop, skip and a jump away from the textile and garment district and yummy italian bakeries. She creates a few collections each year inspired by everything around her.
