Hollow Book Co. handcrafts hollow book safes, recycling and repurposing old books. Our books have built-in magnets to keep your book sealed to keep its contents inside, so they don't just plop out the book! We use professional/ museum quality, acid free glues that will not turn yellow and brittle as it ages. We also reuse and recycle every part of the book that go unused. We look forward in building your next hollow book for little needed home security. Your friends and family may want one, surprisingly they may already own one!

Richie Lau (owner) went to school for graphic and interaction design at The Fashion Institute of Design and The School of Visual Arts in New York. He thrifts shops for vintage and antiques. Otherwise he's designing or creating things in his workshop. In the warm weekends he finds himself, camping, tending to the camp fire, and fishing by the river. He spends the the other times walking the city, visiting various museums, shops, restaurants, and finding music where they serve great drinks. In past lives, he designed websites for various clients, artistically performed live video-scratching, and promoted his own events bringing together thousands of patrons centered around musical experiences.
