My name is HannaH and I am the designer/creater behind Icing101. I love beautiful things and feel so lucky to be able to make them everyday (even when I'm up until 2am!) . I have professional artistic training, mostly in painting/drawing (ironic right;), but I find that all those "rules" I learned actually translate quite nicley to accessories design. Icing101 is a happy accident and through much trial and error I have developed the skills to create the lovely things you see in my shop.

My designs are inspired by my love of all things vintage (I often make notes/sketches of hats/headpieces, combinations of material, or interesting details when I watch old movies), nature, and art/fashion. Inspiration really comes from everywhere....you never know what/where you will find a fabulous color combo, etc. to spark a new design.

I have a 3 year old son who keeps me "balanced" with all sorts of boyish things, so I'm not thinking about/working on gorgeous "feathers and nonsense" all the time. I love to garden and cook (even if it turns out inedible) and our favorite things to do are thrifting and helping out at my parents farm. I am so thankful to have found etsy because it allows me to do work that I love AND stay at home to care for for my child.
