I am a vintage-loving creative writing student who spends a lot of time walking my dog Godiva. I was once a child who loved reading and had a fuzzy chocolate-colored Pound Puppy stuffed animal. In other words: I haven't really changed much.

Anyway, one of the books I loved growing up (and by "loved," I mean made me cry & filled me with worry every time I saw a discarded toy) was The Velveteen Rabbit. Spoiler alert: The story suggests objects become real & alive when we love them. I'm still half-convinced that the beautiful & sweet things I find have lives of their own. Add that to a relentless passion for visiting obscure little stores or a sale on someone's lawn, and you have a problem. My husband told me no more... absolutely no more... carved wooden cows in our house, even if they DO have the sweetest, saddest eyes. So now I am here, hoping I can find homes for these once-loved objects…
