About

Dear Etsy Memebers,
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile here at jbarieoriginals. I was born in Tampa, Fl, and raised in a little know town called Valrico, FL. At an early age I started to learn the trade of woodworking and also worked with my Dad learning the trade of an autobody mechanic. At age 10 I was bitten by the music bug and decided I wanted to learn to play the fiddle. By age 17, with tons of practice, patience, and encouragment from my family, I landed my first professional job touring with a Bluegrass band. I have recorded as a studio musician on over 22 projects as well as two of my own solo projects. During my travels I met my lovely wife.

We live in North Carolina with our baby boy, with one more on the way. We have two dogs and a cat. During my weeks I work in a custom cabinet shop. Everything we do there is 100% custom. I have been building intricate, highly detailed pieces for this shop for 6 years now. In my spare time at the shop I build "one-of-a-kind originals" for my family, friends, and for my church. I build there piece just for them with no two pieces I build being the same. So what the person gets is truly an original one of a kind. I take the time in selecting the materials, to make sure I am building the piece to be beautiful and of the utmost highest quality to ensure that it will survive for many generations as it is handed down through the family. I truly care about what I build. My woodworking legacy is in that you cherish what I build and hopefully your childrens children will also cherish it. I sign every piece that I build. In addition to being a cabinet maker I have also converted a bus into a motorhome for my Dad. On my weekends I travel with a Bluegrass band called The Larry Stephenson Band. I still travel playing the fiddle. My time is short these days so I spend all that I can with my family and church. Take care, happy shopping, and God Bless.
