My name is Jenia Krol. I'm a fashion designer. Eight years ago I linked my life with a world of fashion, and since then I'm happy as a person that found her destiny.
I have started the brand “JEN” during my first year in “Shenkar College of Engineering and Design”. I was taking a part in a T-market, it’s a cool T-shirt festival, that giving a stage to the young fashion and graphic designers. There were my first T-shirts that I made for sale. And for my big surprise, those T-shirts were out of stock after 2 first hours of the festival! I run home and was sewing the all night long. And the second day of the festival was the same story. The feeling was incredible! After that, during my studies in “Shenkar”, I was taking a part in every T festival, with big success every time. It was student work for me, instead of working waiter or barmen in the night. After I finish my 4 years of fashion studies, there was no doubt for me, that all I want is to develop my own fashion label. I had enough experience with making a casual and urban hits, and I was knew exactly who my client is. The next step for me was to start working with designers boutiques. Now I working with 10 Israeli boutiques, and 2 American. And about one year ago, I discover an Etsy. I am taking my inspirations from different sources: my major inspiration in Russian Futurism and Suprematism of 20’s. The City of Tel-Aviv gives me a lot of inspiration: Bauhaus architecture beat of the city, people, colors, sea, traffic, etc. And after all this I obsessed with the Japanese culture generally, and Japanese kimono particularly. For me, the most favorite way to create is to play with the geometric shapes in basic colors, and to make a geometric colorful ornament. For me the most important thing is that in the end of the creation process, woman feels very feminine, strong and self-confident in my garments.
