BIO
I have been photographing since I was kid and discovered my dad's Minolta 35mm. From there I took photography classes in high school, worked a part-time job at a photo store, and later graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's in Imaging & Photographic Technology. Today, photography resides in every facet of my personal and professional life, especially lately, as I transition to photography as a full-time career. I feel lucky with where I’m at, what I’ve learned, and the talent that I have.

ARIST STATEMENT
I want to call out, or call forth the specialness of life – even in loss, emptiness, plainness and decay. That’s why my photographs are often rich in color and bold with contrast. I’m striving for simplicity and a keen attention to details as I try to capture timeless, yet temporary moments. I’m trying to convey a mood, a specific perspective – a perspective that’s not necessarily part of our universal human experience, but a perspective that evokes strong feelings about the unique scenes in the world around us. That’s why one of my favorite themes relates to concept of past life. In past life, there are so many common yet sacred objects, textures and scenes to examine. So many unique and forgotten places to recall. So much vibrancy to celebrate – in all of life’s simple, surprising forms.

My work has been featured at the Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, CO, the Projeck30 September exhibition, Shutterbug magazine, and juried into the Fine Print Collection. I am currently represented by the Park Place Gallery in Kansas City, KS.
