My name is Sheridan Joslin and every piece of jewelry I make is soulfully inspired, blissfully created, and meticulously crafted. My favorite materials are precious metals and fine quality pearls and gemstones. These natural materials unceasingly kindle my imagination and inspire my muse. I'm also nostalgic for the romance of eras long past so rescued pieces from vintage and antique jewelry often make their way into my designs.

As a child I would loose myself in creative projects for hours at a time. It was only natural for me to dream of pursuing artistic endeavors. During college I studied drawing, painting, illustration, woodworking, photography and jewelry making using traditional metal smithing techniques. Ironically, jewelry making held little interest for me at the time.
I graduated with a degree in graphic design that helped me land a good entry-level job with a great company. Unfortunately, my work, although related to the field of graphic design, did not allow for much creativity. I soon realized I needed an artistic pursuit to balance and fulfill my life. I returned to some of the mediums I had studied, but found I no longer enjoyed them as much as I once had. I tried new things too like glass blowing, but nothing piqued my muse until I rediscovered jewelry making. I was smitten!
I began learning about jewelry-making techniques and gemstones in earnest. I also became a student of historical art movements and how they influence jewelry design. I turned part of my home into a studio and began fashioning beautiful and intricate creations with precious metal wire and gems. Friends and acquaintances became interested in my jewelry almost immediately so what started as a hobby quickly became a custom-jewelry business.

I've been making artisan jewelry for over a decade now. I left my job to become a work-at-home mom and create from my studio in the quaint community of Bainbridge Island, Washington. I live surrounded by loved ones and the abundant and endlessly inspiring natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
