What inspires you?

I am a professional Costume Designer. I studied Fashion Design and then Costume Design/Construction in Melbourne, Australia. I've been working in the industry for over 10 years. I'm now back in Raleigh (where I grew up) and I work with an extraordinary theatre company (Burning Coal Theatre Company) and do specialty costume work for individuals, schools and entertainment groups.

Many of the designs you see are things that I make for myself, my husband or friends. We are involved in several reenactment groups, like to get frocked up when we go out, throw costume parties all year round and love pushing the boundaries of everyday fashion.
Some designs are excess ideas I've had for stage shows or inspired by current theatrical projects.
