My life is so full and blessed - terribly busy most of the time, but as an overflowing cup - flowing even into the yard some days! I have a husband who is "the one my soul loves" (Song of Solomon 3:4). I have a two year old little boy - you will see him in my photos here on Etsy. I have found no better model, and am afraid I never will. : ) And we have finally met our newest little addition: a baby girl born at home during the Chicago blizzard: Feb 1, 2010!

Some of the things I have spent my days doing:
I have been a florist (for a very short time), a singer (still am actually! just finished my first Christian solo CD: www.GraceSchmidt.com to listen and order), a cookie designer (a set of my decorated cookies made it to a cookie set that was sold at Bed Bath and Beyond a couple of years ago!), a mural artist (self employed for several years straight out of high school!), a portrait artist (this is still one of my FAVORITE things to do as an artist), a book cover designer (two books that I have designed are now published and I am soon to work on my third!), a photographer, an interior decorator, and now I am landing in quilting children's growth charts. I don't know how I got here or where I will go next, but I am CERTAINLY enjoying what I am doing now.

I've been so many different artists over the years, and I am not even 30 yet! Soon, but not yet. : ) Don't remind me if you see me, ok.

I also love books (I even read them once in a while), antiques (especially when mixed with some modern pieces - my sofa at home is an antique navy leather with button tufting throughout and nail heads lining the front and arms - accented with a couple of Zebra print pillows!), growing food and health-full eating, cooking, and living a complete life by the spirit.

...and I love Etsy. Really. I'm not just saying that. I think it's such a great idea, and happy so many people are enjoying it and keeping it running.
