My Mom taught me to knit and crochet when I was 4 years old -- and I was hooked! I knit and crochet everyday and always have many projects going. I love thinking about people getting pleasure from wearing my knitwear.

The philosophy I bring to all my work is to create beautiful and flattering garments in wonderful, rich colors. When I design, knit and/or crochet something, I almost never repeat it. This means the buyer has the only one. It's like the difference between buying a print copy of a painting, and buying the original. In addition, I show my pieces on mannequins, not people, so that what you receive has never been worn.

I love working with customers to do custom knitting and crocheting. I am happy to create something similar to garments I have listed now or have previously sold. Perhaps you see something listed that you'd like in a different color or size. Just write to me and let me know.

When I do custom work, I take lots of photos of yarn and knitted samples to help you decide if it's right for you. I can work from photos you send me too. My customers have found their input into the design process to be very exciting and have always been thrilled with the results.

Everything in my shop is designed and made in my smoke-free, pet-free studio using only the very finest yarns. I love to use natural fibers, especially Merino wool, hand spun wool and cotton. These fibers don't harm the planet the way synthetics do and they are biodegradable as well as wearing best. Occasionally I'll add a bit of irresistible novelty yarn. All of my work is impeccably finished inside and out, and my closures tend to be antique buttons or pins that I design to suit the garment.
