I live with my husband in a little house that we built in 2002. We live off the grid so our electricity is generated by solar panels in our backyard. No electric bill to this address (and we don't lose power in storms)!

I started this business in 2010 after 10 seasons of working on organic vegetable farms here in Central Vermont. I loved farming but was ready to stop crawling on the ground everyday! I learned to sew in Home Ec class in 8th grade and I've always loved it. I try to give handmade (I also love knitting, crocheting, and woodworking) holiday gifts each year. I've made clothes, quilts, picture frames, hats, scarves, stuffed toys, pillows, and puppets, to name a few projects. And bags, of course! They are fun to sew because they're such a practical way to express one's self. I love finding a new fabric and turning it into something useful!

When I'm not sitting at the sewing machine I love to go out rock climbing! My husband took me climbing for our first date and I haven't stopped since. We also love skiing, mountain biking, and surfing. We adore New England, but it's great to get out into the wider world from time to time to enjoy new surfing and climbing spots!
