Kim's Profile

About

I live in a tiny village along the Hudson River in the amazing Adirondack Park region of Upstate NY. I graduated from the University of Southern California, where I studied anthropology, gender issues and linguistics. After over 5 years as a counselor for people with autism, I had to give up the job I loved in order to focus on stabilizing my bipolar disorder. It's still a struggle, but making jewelry is terrific therapy, and I'm grateful for my progress and every smile that comes my way. My husband and I have a beautiful family of rescues/adoptions: 2 cats, 2 rats, a dog, a tarantula, and the sweetest boa constrictor in the world. And lots of voracious guppies. :D
