About

Aanii, Boozhoo, Wacheye, Sago, Tansi, hello and welcome to le petit rêve!

Upon the birth of my beautiful baby boy, (now a toddler) I became overwhelmed with creative inspiration to officially become a fiber artist and illustrator. The incentive has only grown upon the most recent addition of my baby girl.

Growing up the creative kid, I was always drawing, painting, writing and mucking about with any new medium I could get my hands on, because I loved it. I craved it. Teachers noted the talent, gave kudos and encouraged it. It was a way for me to escape to a brighter place, because at times that was necessary in my world as a child.

As the years and growing wore on, I evolved into making art as a sort of therapy; self-learning/loathing/loving form of expression.

I eventually merged into gifting whimsical wares and honing in on my skills. I experimented with everything I could dream and imagine up. Jewelery, paint collages and murals. Creative word art, mortar and stone picture/collage frames set and glazed with stones and dried herbs. The list went on.

Eventually, I became engulfed in the land of artisan crafting. Painting, felting, knitting, crocheting and sewing. Learning and practicing the fine arts of my Native ancestors. Merging all of these mediums together to create things that are uniquely my own creations. This is where I am at one with my artistic talents. Where I feel I can experiment and stay true to myself. Things are different now. Life is bright, full of love and happiness. Of course with it's challenges along the way. I am inspired daily as a new mother by my sweet baby angels and could not be more centered around life as it is now. Well maybe I could. Always growing, always learning. Surrounded by art, the love of my partner, our wee growing family and the dedication to be my own business, I bloom.

In this little corner, one will find merchandise for mamas and babes. Made with tender loving care, from recycled (non-synthetic), re-used and/or organic materials/harvest whenever possible. You won't find the likes of these goods in a big box store; but you just may at a festival, market or quaint boutique.

I encourage you to catch their dreams and let them snuggle in close...
