I love vintage clothing, you can't beat the quality nor the style.
Going to a retail store you are subject to the whims of whatever is fashionable at the time. Just because its fashionable or a fad definitely doesn't mean it will look good, go your own way and look great.
As an anthropologist I can appreciate the history and social significance of different garments and style periods. Clothing reflects the attitudes of the time, and each piece of vintage is material culture that is a part of human history.
As a person who sews I can appreciate the quality of construction of vintage garments.
The things I post in my shop are from family, yard sales, antique shows, thrift stores, and consignment shops. I clean them or have them cleaned, check for flaws, make any necessary repairs, research the...
