We are a clothing company based in Red Hook, Brooklyn, specializing in silk-screened tees, shirts and totes. Our designs take inspiration from the industrial buildings, Coney Island, and the waterfront and streetscape of New York City past and present.

What’s up with the name?
Well, as a wee boy, I used to trek over tall mountains to a small village, and bring home a freshly butchered chicken so my family....
No, actually, anyone who’s ever spent time in the outer boroughs is familiar with the poultry markets where you can buy a (supposedly) fresh bird for dinner. We’ve had the pleasure of living near two of them in our 15 years in Greenpoint and Red Hook, and the experience is unforgettable, hence the name.

All our clothing is hand-silkscreened in the traditional way (no automatic presses!), with our partner in an old Civil War era garment factory on the New York Bay in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

We use the highest quality super-premium cotton Alternative Apparel tees for our screenprints. They aren't your typical store-bought shirts and are far softer and thinner than anything else you're going to find, with unique hemlines, detailed stitching, and precise cuts. You're going to love the vintage feel and comfort of these shirts
