I remember watching with fascination as my mom sewed clothes for me and my sister, and was delighted to receive a little toy sewing machine at age six. I have been sewing ever since – clothes, my prom dress, even my sister’s wedding and bridesmaid dresses.

I started Lola in Lace in 2009 after earning a Pharmacy degree from the University of Texas and quickly realizing that I would not be my happiest in a career that, although practical, did not allow for much creativity. I discovered how wonderfully exciting weddings can be while helping my sister plan hers, and given my love for all things feminine and pretty, bridal accessories seemed to be the perfect outlet for my creativity. I feel so blessed to be making a living doing what I love.
