I think that it is important to spend some time doing what you are passionate about every day. My Etsy store is the manifestation of that belief. I love to create, and feel good when I do so. I lived in France for a while and developed a deep appreciation for the people, culture and design. I try to bring a bit style and feel through my shop.

Also, I believe that it is important to give back. There is an organization here in the Bay Area called Aim High. They offer a 5 week summer school program to children of middle school ages from low income families. I have seen first hand how this alters these kids' lives... dramatically for the better. 5% of all sales on this site will be donated at the end of the calendar year to Aim High.
