Thank you for stopping by Mara’s Maples!
The success of this Etsy shop has been amazing. I thank all of my customers, fans, and supporters for helping to make Mara’s Maples what it is today. I look forward to continuing to expand this shop and product line and bring you delicious, healthy breakfasts, snacks and gifts.
Mara’s Maples opened shop on Etsy in January 2009. At the time I was a working mom who made these goodies as holiday gifts for friends, family and my kid’s teachers. The response to my Etsy shop was unbelievable. Seeing how successful the shop was, I decided to take a leap of faith and become a real live business! So today, I am still a working mom, but now I am also a business owner.
You can now find Mara’s Maples here on Etsy (of course!) and at local Bay Area craft fairs and restaurants. And of course on facebook and Yelp. I hope to soon be in farmer’s markets and on store shelves in the near future!
Here's to continued growth and expansion....!!!
INGREDIENTS AND HEALTH BENEFITS:
The ingredients I use are ALL NATURAL and there are NO ADDED FATS. By using Grade A real maple syrup in all of my products I am able to avoid using any oil, butter, or egg. Plus there are many health benefits to eating maple syrup. Maple syrup contains magnesium, zinc, and natural antioxidants which help support a healthy immune system, keeps your heart healthy, and also appears to help support a healthy reproductive system for men (who knew!!)
Nuts are also a naturally healthy snack. Nuts are high in protein and rich in fiber. Walnuts are also high in Omega 3 fatty acids which have been shown to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol. Almonds are full of antioxidants like Vitamin E. And pecans are full of oleic acid which is the same type of (good) fatty acid found in olive oil. And apparently researchers are starting to find connections with oleic acid and the fight against breast cancer.
And now that I have started working with cashews I have learned about the health benefits of these amazing nuts…Did you know that Cashews are considered an antidepressant? Aside from being full of oleic acid and antioxidants, having no cholesterol and being high in protein, the cashew is also high in Vitamin B (thiamin) which stimulates the nervous system and is believed to be a natural antidepressant. Amazing!
So there you have it…all the health benefits of eating Mara’s Maples nut varieties. And on top of all of this, the nuts (in all of their variations) are delicious and extremely versatile.
