It all started at the age of eleven when I took my first sewing class at the local Singer store. That experience resulted in a dreadful, army-green dress, but it sparked my fascination with the process of changing bits and pieces of cloth/yarn/beads into something useful, and often lovely. To me, there is a magical element to the transformation, combined with a feeling of peace when I am working on a project.
I have explored many mediums throughout my life--sewing, knitting, quilting, weaving both baskets and cloth, and creating jewelry using stones, pearls, beads, metal and the countless variations those materials afford. At present, weaving is my primary passion but my Etsy shop will also have knitted items and special jewelry.
