I grew up in Downey, California. I also lived in Murray, Kentucky for many years, and received my BFA in Drawing and Printmaking from Murray State University in 2003.
I received my MFA in Printmaking from West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia in 2007.

After that I lived in Los Angeles for four years, teaching all kinds of Printmaking at California State University Northridge and Loyola Marymount University. I spent a lot of time in my car. I damaged my teeth from stress-induced grinding/clenching.

In July of 2011 I rather boldly relocated to Spruce Pine, North Carolina. I live in a grey stone house with an orange cat, a big yard, and a borrowed etching press. I'm the Gallery Sales/Information Associate at the Penland School of Crafts.
