Welcome to my store! My name is Meenoo and I design and make all the jewelry you see in my store. As an Indian-American, I have been always surrounded by amazing jewelry my whole life, worn for special occasions as well as everyday. I believe jewelry should be worn everyday, it will improve your mood, I promise!

I make beautiful and imaginative jewelry inspired by the fabulous bazaars and markets of India. I take Indian themes and design and simplify them for the modern woman to create jewelry you can wear everyday.

I am inspired by color, nature, history, literature, and of course the shiny and sparkly. I love using vintage Indian bits and pieces of neglected components and findings and combining them with Lucite, glass, crystals, and gemstones to create something new. I take great care and time in choosing shapes, patterns, and colors that remind me in some way of India and South Asia and its endless source of inspiration. Sometimes I go traditional, but most often I like to mix things up to create something reminiscent of India.

If you want to feature Minou Bazaar's creations in your shop, please contact me.

I believe in upcycling and recycling and practice that in my packaging materials, as well as my jewelry. All packages come in a hand-stamped gift box with a pretty ribbon and a gift tag. They are gift-ready!

Glowing praise from one of my customers: "You are amazing...I am so pleased to have my new earrings! How beautifully you've designed them & I appreciate their light weight. They remind me of some of the Mughal treasures I've seen in museum collections."

Most of my jewelry is limited edition or one of a kind (OOAK), simply because I like to try new things. If you are interested in a design that I have sold, please contact me as I may be able to recreate something similar. I also love custom and Indian-inspired bridal or commitment ceremony orders. Let me know if we can create something together!

I love to dream about what women wore in other times and other places. When I'm not making jewelry or at my day job, I am reading, gardening, or daydreaming. I live in the DC metro area with my husband and cats. I am also a huge bookworm--if you are on Goodreads, check out my library: it's under Meenoo.
