Welcome!

Just a short time ago Mummymoon was a tiny team of mother and daughter, Ieva and Domicele. As we’ve grown as a business, we’ve grown in team size as well, with a birth of my son Rapolas. And as we’ve been growing so fast, and with two little ones around, I have found myself in need of extra help. As a result we’ve welcomed one more member to our Mummymoon family, a wonderful and always smiling Vejune. So here we are, not so tiny anymore!

Our story has began in Norway, on an island outside of Bergen, right on a top of a fjord. Two years in the surroundings of such beauty and calm must have influenced the way I create. Without my children and this beautiful country nothing would have happened, sewing and Mummymoon would not have been discovered. So I am extremely grateful to you both!

Now we are back in Lithuania, where I have lived prior to Norway, where I’ve grown up, where I’ve studied interior design at the Art Academy of Vilnius. While studying, I have entered the world of film making, which I then believed was the true calling of my life. And it was. Until we have become parents. All of the love and warmth was redirected at our newly born beautiful ray of sunshine. As my daughter grew a bit older, I have found a new urge to express myself creatively. Living in seclusion and with lots of time on my hands, i began to create. Domicele did, too. And so we worked together – sketching, sewing, photographing and selling the clothes for the children. I could have never imagined this was going to be what I do in life, but now I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Everything I love I transfer into my designs. Simple but interesting forms are born this way revealing themselves in a garment. Mostly I prefer a natural color palette, but of course, some days have a mood of their own which requires a brighter splash of color. Everything I dream of, and everything I daydream of while watching nothingness, everything is reflected in Mummymoon.
