Hello!! Welcome to My Bearded Pigeon. We are Cath and Neil and we live on a few acres on the edge of a little town in the forest in Australia. We collect our water from the sky and grow our own organic fruit and vegies. This impacts on the way we live and consume. Using organic cotton is an important aspect of this business- not just a marketing ploy. It is reported that traditionally farmed cotton crops are the 2nd largest user of agricultural pesticides in the world. This means that 25% of the world's insecticides and 10% of the world's pesticides are dedicated to cotton. Even scarier than this is the fact that at least four of the top nine pesticides used in treating this cotton is considered by the EPA to be highly carcinogenic.

My Bearded Pigeon combines my love of all things old with my love of all things organic. What is it about vintage maps that transport us back to exciting places? that have us dream of far away lands... ? perhaps it is the birds eye view of the earth that we never really see?
