About

I must have been around 10 years old when I made my first dress. I used a pillowcase, cutting out for my head and arms. I stitched everything by hand, adding ribbon and lace to turn out the prettiest dress I could imagine. It was then that my mom saw how much I wanted to sew, but she could barely sew on a button, so she volunteered my grandmother to teach me how to use a sewing machine. I always loved watching my grandmother use her old, black Singer. Now, I was at the helm! My mom bought me my first pattern and sent me to my next door neighbor, Ann, to learn how to use a Simlicity pattern. That Christmas I got my very own Singer sewing machine!! You just can't turn me off!! I majored in art in high school and was married to my first love at the age of twenty. Since then, had two wonderful boys of whom I am so proud! My oldest served our country in the US Marine Corp, and my youngest , who is autistic, brings great joy to all of the lives he touches. I have been a nurse for many years, 15 of them working in pediatrics and now as an infusion nurse, caring for patients in their homes. I have the most wonderful patients and am so lucky to have them in my life. My world is filled with very special people. I have been blessed. Now, I open my door and my heart to all of you out there in Etsyland!! Feel free to drop me a line, tell me a little about yourself or share an idea whenever you want. I hope you enjoy visiting my shop and come back often to see what's new. Bring your friends, I'd love to meet them too!
