When my kids, who are now adults, started preschool, I stopped working to be able to be involved with their schooling. During this time I took a tole painting class in the evening with some friends and decided that I could profit from it. I come from an artistic family and always used my creativity in many ways. I ended up painting for a Bellini's, a high end children's furniture store, and a boutique store on Montana Avenue in Santa Monica, CA. Many celebrities frequented the boutique and I painted commissioned pieces for several of them. When I moved to Washington State I continued painting for the local Bellini's which included painting murals for kids rooms. When we moved to Denver I again painted for the local Bellini's. Then for several years I didn't find the time to paint until my grandson was born.
