Morgan Evans' Profile

About

My name is Morgan and I am the Community Lead on Etsy's Values and Impact Team. My role here is to amplify Etsy's impact both inside the company and within our community at large by devising programs that turn our values into concrete actions. I work across departments to create effective, open-source strategies and collaborative campaigns that provide the means and inspiration for people to act with intention and make a difference in the world.

In my previous role at the company, I had the pleasure of working within the amazing and vivacious world of Etsy Teams, the activities of which never cease to inspire me. I am most excited when I am connecting people, meeting new friends and working toward changing the world together.

I am committed to fostering and encouraging relationships between artists, crafters, thinkers, organizers and conscious consumers all over the world. After growing up in the concrete jungle and underground tunnels of Manhattan I attended Oberlin College in Ohio. I then headed for the desert and lived in both Santa Fe and Albuquerque, New Mexico, before eventually returning to the East Coast.

My life at Etsy began in March of 2009 as a screenprinter making stuff for the Etsy Store. I like drawing comics and building dioramas out of small cardboard boxes, colorful foam and small plastic animals.
