About

I bought my first really nice vintage frock at an antiquarian show in Paris when I was 20. The dollar was high then, and a beautiful piece of black chiffon and lace from the 1930s cost only $25--still the most I'd ever paid for a dress. I've always been in love with the styles of the past, but I haven't always had the means to wear them ... even in my many years of thrift-store shopping. O the dresses I used to buy for $5 at Thrift Town in Albuquerque! Or Thrift Village in San Diego!

So I've been a collector and wearer of vintage lovelies since college days--and I still wear many of those pieces! (Yes, I've kept that original Foire aux Antiquaires dress but, alas, it's a hair too tight.) I've also taken to buying old patterns and making custom-fit frocks to suit my height. Now I want to find good, happy homes or new lives for some things that just don't get out enough ... I try to price my items reasonably, as what matters most to me is not turning a profit but finding someone who will love these dear old things as I have loved them.

I will mail your package carefully within 3 days of receiving payment, and communication and a friendly transaction are always paramount. I recycle mailing materials whenever possible, but once in a while I may have to buy something to protect your item.

Please let me know if you have questions or concerns; I want to make you happy! Thank you for stopping by my shop! And if you have time, I would LOVE to see a photo of you wearing your new trinket or frock ... or of the artwork you've done with something you've acquired here ... I love the vintage life.
