About

My wife and I make our home in the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia.
It is here that we spend our days playing with our grandchildren and making our own brand of pet items and other items for good folks.

I have been wood crafting for well over 37 years now...The wife who is also my best friend have been married for 38 years and in those many years she has seen a lot of sawdust. I love wood and working with wood; I love wood so much sometimes I think that I am half TERMITE!

I sell my items to folks here in the mountains where I live and Craft shows in the area.
I also sell at Craft festivals in the Great Smoky Mountains. A month before Christmas the wife and I do a children's craft event to raise money for children in need at Nascars Bristol motor speedway in Bristol Tennessee, the event last for 51…

I also sell at Craft festivals in the Great Smoky Mountains. A month before Christmas the wife and I do a children's craft event to raise money for children in need at Nascars Bristol motor speedway in Bristol Tennessee, the event last for 51 nights straight.
I also craft my items to sell on other major auction sites and my very own website
http://www.olewoodcrafter.com/

My interests are of course wood working, playing and writing music. I am a published EBook author; name of book is The Darkling War by Ron Snider, and I am an ordained minister.

We are both now retired if there is such a thing and still crafting from dawn to dark
I am now disabled due to arthritis.
The doctor told me if I ever gave up woodworking, it probably would be the end for me. The dr. wants me to work in my wood shop from dawn to dark...Well he doesn’t have to tell me that… because I do anyway.

Folks crafting is in my blood, and I have been doing it since I was just a child. In those days if you wanted something you either had to grow it or make it.

I have passed the skills on to my children and am currently teaching my grandchildren.
My friends and neighbors and those that I have had the pleasure to teach the skills to refer to me as being a Master woodcrafter ….. Well I don’t know about that…, but I have mastered in getting a heck of a lot of wood splinters out of my hands down through the years.

The wife and I are truly an American mom and pop shop where everything is American made... and we are so proud to do so.
God bless you good folks... and have a very good day.
